AOMA Fall 2022 Newsletter Edition

President's Report

Thank you all for the opportunity to serve AOMA this year as President. A special thanks to Steve, and the rest of the board of directors, for their dedication, service and successes this year. I would like to especially highlight Steve’s championing of events throughout the state of Wisconsin, and making a focus for outreach to our many markets throughout the state, not just Madison and Milwaukee. As the statewide representative with NAA, we hope to continue these efforts moving forward. Thank you again, Steve, for all you did in 2022.

I would, also, like to thank Chris Ruditys, and his staff for keeping our association in the top tiers of Apartment Association Affiliates with NAA – our enhancements to the Blue Moon national lease as the leading resource for our members, the education offerings for all NAA designations, and financial stewardship of the organization is second to none. Thank you for all that you do for us.

I would like to thank my organization, Weidner Apartment Homes, for allowing the participation, and support, of our local apartment association. We entered the Wisconsin market just a few years ago, and we already feel at home with the warm welcomes from vendors, local experts, and competitor organizations. Thank you all for your welcome, and acceptance of Weidner in our market over the past few years. We look forward to continued partnerships, and involvement with the dynamic organizations that make Wisconsin a special place to operate in.

Finally, the board of directors will continue to engage members to participate on committees, and attend peer events hosted by the association. Additionally, we will embark on our goal of hosting 100,000 apartment units within the state of Wisconsin by the end of 2023. Our goal is to continue to listen to membership about ideas, and expectations we can put in place to better serve the industry throughout the state. We will continue to raise the bar as the best affiliate to NAA in the Midwest. We look forward to seeing all of you at our upcoming programs, and events next year.
